Ceyda is a graduate student in the Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology (PBSB) program and is co-mentored by Drs. Ari Melnick and Christopher Mason. Since joining the Melnick lab in 2020, Ceyda employs a combination of whole-genome sequencing and 3D chromatin conformation capture assays to investigate how rearrangements in the 1D genome affect 3D chromatin architecture in lymphomas.
Ceyda studied Computational Biology and Computer Science at the College of William and Mary. After graduating, Ceyda worked with Dr. Steven Josefowicz (also at Weill Cornell) before joining the PBSB program.
