After obtaining my BSc in Biochemistry & Biotechnology at University of Thessaly, I completed my PhD at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on the molecular mechanisms that govern sepsis through the activation of MAPK pathways and the control of cellular homeostasis.
During my postdoctoral training in Sorbonne University, Paris and the University of Utah, my focus shifted toward Tumor Immunology. I studied the role of Immunotherapies in relation to Immunogenic Cell Death in Head and Neck Carcinomas. Afterwards, I used models of gastrointestinal tract tumors to study immune microenvironment regulation through cytokine pathways. Overall, my research interests include the study and implementation of preclinical animal models and in vivo research approaches, to decipher disease progression and advance treatment applications.
