Sanket completed his PhD in Epigenetics and Cancer biology from Tata Cancer Hospital (ACTREC), Mumbai, India in March 2022. During his PhD, Sanket worked on “Functional role and transcription regulation of histone H2A isoforms in breast cancer”. Sanket joined the Melnick lab as a postdoc in May 2022. His work focuses on studying the role of H3K36 methyltransferases in lymphomas. Sanket is fascinated with understanding the complexity of biology and in particular he is passionate about exploring the interplay between the epigenome and immune system and its therapeutic implication.
In addition to science, Sanket enjoys photography, cooking, singing, and working out. Sanket can cook nice food to bring more focus to research, which he thinks will happen because of a change in epigenome.
