Sunny joined the Melnick lab in June 2024, shortly after graduating Binghamton University with a B.S. in Biochemistry. Through her position as research technician, Sunny is excited to expand her interests in immunology while expanding her scientific skillset. She will be working with Dr. Wendy Beguelin to explore the germinal center and the epigenetic wonders within, uncovering the molecular mechanism of lymphomagenesis. In the future, Sunny hopes to merge her previous research experiences in nano-delivery with her current fascination with the immune system.
Fun Fact: Sunny has lived in 3 different countries - Korea, England, and of course, the US.
